I have just one thing to say before the ceremony starts. Any scenario in which a band as awful as Scouting For Girls are nominated for an award is a bad sign for the British music industry. Unless the nomination was for worst band of the year. I can’t remember the last time I heard a band that made me so badly want to tear my own ears off.

Darren, I’m afraid you get what you pay for – afaik The Brits are aimed at the 16-21 generation, so what do you expect 🙂
You sound just like your father. And his father…
Sign of getting old, Daz – comes to all of us eventually.
I disagree… I like a lot of music and haven’t moved onto Val Doonigan or James Last yet. I like a lot of heavy rock and Indie bands. The reason I don’t like Scouting For Girls is not because I’m too old for pop music, it’s because they’re crap. Their songs all have the same piano riff and the lyrics make me want to hide my face in embarrassment.
The three best albums of last year were ignored… Supergrass, Kaiser Chiefs and We Are Scientists. Duffy won best album. She sings like one of the munchkins from the Wizard Of Oz. Holy crap.
