I’m a tennis pro

Wii tennis proI was going to entitle this entry “crikey, my arm hurts” but I decided not to. Apparently video games cause children (and adults) to become couch potatoes and obesity is the knock-on effect. Well, whoever said that obviously hasn’t worked their way up to Wii tennis pro status and then maintained that status in the face of fierce opponents of skill level 2,000. I reckon I’ve lost a few pounds, but I also have one arm like Charles Atlas. I think I’ll take a break for now so I can rest my arms, so I’ll be playing Scramble with this unscramble resaper for a while.

Ports also has a Wii and has already destroyed a light shade – no such damage in the games room round at Adams Towers, although I did clout Lauren’s foot while swinging back a virtual bowling ball (hey, my top score is 246 – I’m a bowling pro too).

Baseball remains a bit of a challenge, and I’m glad no-one can see me through the window adopting the batting position.

  1. I too have lamp damage and significant muscle strain from too much tennis. Sadly, I’m yet to reach Pro status, and will likely be beaten to said level by a 4yr old.

  2. I reached a skill level of 1,856 on the tennis, but was then continually pitched against a pair of level 2,000 and 1,900. After losing several matches I went down to just under 1,600. I won a match with another pair of players 3-0 and still lost skill points, presumably I didn’t beat them convincingly enough. Back up to around 1,700 now but will have to face the deadly duo again.

  3. Hey Darren,

After just 2 weeks, I have already topped you bowling score with a 255…. but my Tennis still leaves a lot to be desired.
I also know what you mean about the aching arm 😉

I also saw that there may be a Wii darts game soon…. I’ll line up the pints.

Looking forward to your visit for the Wii showdown.
