Technology and the occasional justified rant

Lotusphere Comes To Scotland

Our dynamic and lovely Marketing duo, Sue and Chrissie, have given me permission to go public on the announcement of Lotusphere Comes To You in Edinburgh. The event will be held on Thursday 28th May at the Caledonian Hotel in Edinburgh. The plan is to have the same agenda as the London and Manchester events. More details will be available soon… in the meantime my fellow Scotsmen (well, I am a bit*), mark it in your diary and I’ll see you there.

* Quarter or half, depending on which version of my dad’s ancestry is true. He was born in Glasgow and raised in Ardrossan, but his biological father may have been Swedish. Or Norwegian.

…works for Microsoft as a Global Account Technology Strategist. In a former life he worked for the Lotus brand within IBM for many years. Married with one daughter and two dogs, lives in Camberley (Surrey, England), plays the guitar to a mediocre standard, and runs 10 kms and half marathons at an average speed. That’s it really.

    I’ll see you there, too!

I’d heard that but wasn’t 100% sure… but I am now. Assume you’ll get there the night before – the sun will be up very late at the end of May in Scotland.

Excellent news! When will the registration page be up for it?

When do we get to play guess the speaker ?

I hear the Krankies are very reasonable 😉
I also hear that David Coulthard’s diary has a lot of space in it.

Great minds nearly think alike, I was going to mention the Krankies until I thought that it might be seen as a stereotypical Scottish option. I’d rather see Frankie Boyle, although some ‘colourful language edits’ might be required.

@3 – not sure. Keep watching the existing page, there’s some new stuff to go on there (recorded at Lotus Park today) so maybe it’ll be updated with Scotland details at the same time.

I’ve heard you should be able to find out more details on the Scottish event on the existing LCTY UK page by the end of the week.
